KARACHI, Oct 5: Bandits either hijacked or stole 105 vehicles — 46 cars and 59 motorcycles — during the past one week in various parts of the metropolis.
According to police statistics, 23 cars were taken away at gunpoint and an equal number of vehicles were stolen in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i-Johar, Gulberg, Clifton, Jamshed Quarters and Saddar areas etc.
Twenty motorcycles were hijacked and 39 others stolen in Gulberg, New Karachi, Korangi, Landhi, Lyari, North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, Saddar, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and other areas.
Police also claimed to have recovered 28 stolen cars and 26 motorcycles during the past one week.
