KARACHI: Man run over by bus

KARACHI, Dec 23: A young man died in a road accident in Saeedabad on Sunday.

The police said that Saleemullah, aged 30, was sleeping on a footpath, when he was run over by a recklessly-driven minibus (PE-3123). He died on the spot.

CARJACKING: Ten vehicles — five cars and an equal number of motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Sunday, the police said.

The cars were hijacked in Defence (two), Gulshan-i-Iqbal (two), and New Town.

The motorcycles were stolen in New Karachi Industrial Area, Darakhshan, Garden, PIB Colony, and Buffer Zone.

The police also claimed on Sunday to have recovered five vehicles in the city.
