Three killed in accident

KASUR, Oct 1: Three people were killed while as many sustained serious injuries in a road accident on Wednesday near Sindhuan Kalan village, Sarai Mughal.

Police said a motorcycle rickshaw (8749-LRD) was going to Pattoki when it was hit by a speeding bus (2052-RID). As a result, rickshaw driver Ashfaq, Younas and Noor Ahmad died instantly while Irshad, Abdul Sattar and Hayat suffered serious injuries.

They were shifted to the Pattoki THQ Hospital where their condition was said to be stable.

Sarai Mughal police have registered a case against the absconding bus driver.

SNATCHED: Seven armed robbers on Wednesday snatched a pick-up loaded with cloths valuing hundreds of thousands of rupees near Ghuman Key village, Phoolnagar.

Zulfiqar Ali was going to Morr Khunda in his pick-up (7935-LOX).

Phoolnagar police are looking into the matter.
