Five killed in accident

NOWSHERA, Oct 1: Five persons were killed and six received injuries when a passenger bus overturned and plunged into a ravine after hitting a man on the G T Road near Pabbi here on Monday.

The bus (E 8884) left for Rawalpindi from Peshawar when it hit a person trying to cross the road. The coach went out of control and fell into a ravine.

The passerby, Muhammad Ameen of Chowki Mamrez, and three passengers died on the spot, whereas another passenger expired in the hospital. One of the passengers was identified as Syed Khurram Shah, son of Akhter Ali Shah.

Names of other passengers could not be ascertained.

In another road accident the son of former member of the Nowshera Cantonment Board died whereas his other son received injuries.
