ISLAMABAD, Oct 1: Defence Minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal has met Malaysian prime minister and defence minister and discussed with them enhancement of bilateral cooperation in different fields including defence.

Mr Iqbql is currently visiting Malaysia to attend the Langkwai International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition, 2003 (LIMA’03) and spent a busy day.

During the meeting with the Prime Minister Dato Mahatir bin Mohammad the two sides discussed the possibilities of further enhancing cooperation between the two countries in all fields including defence.

Both sides agreed to strengthen the already existing strong bilateral ties between the two countries and hoped that this visit would open up new avenues of cooperation in multiple areas.

During the meeting with the defense minister of Malaysia, Dato Siri Mohammad Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razaq matters pertaining to defence cooperation as well as other related issues were discussed.—APP
