KARACHI, Oct 1: Four ships carrying crude oil, steel coils and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships were berthed after the departure of four. They are: Global Prosperity, Sinag Bangka and APL Shanghai to unload and load containers, Mercs Kirinda, to offload soyabean oil, Naga, to unload crude oil and Stella to load naphtha.
The ships, which departed included Ocean Luna, Kota Wangi, Mercs Komari and Shalamar, while APL Shanghai, Kota Intan, PONL Mache, Banglar Gourab, Naga, Al-Wajba and Da Qing-255 are due to sail out on Thursday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 79,048 tons comprising 9,249 tons of export cargo and 69,799 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Thursday: Sorena, to offload 65,000 tons of crude oil, Hyundai Future, and Bunga Masdua, with containers and Stamatina-P with 3,612 tons of steel coils.
