Officials told Dawn on Monday that the Afghan government requested that the negative list under ATT be abolished and assured Pakistan that an independent organization would be established in Kabul, which would certify physical receipt and presence of all imports.

The organization, the official said would confirm the physical arriving of all imports under ATT in Afghanistan, and the information would be subsequently conveyed to Pakistani authorities.

When contacted, chairman EPB, Tariq Ikram confirmed to Dawn that he has received the proposals from the Afghan government seeking import of all items under ATT.
