QUETTA: A 12-day measles eradication campaign will be launched from April 13 across Balochistan during which 3.5m children between six months and 10 years of age would be vaccinated.
“Chief Minister Dr Malik Baloch has provided Rs137 million from his personal funds for launching the anti-measles campaign in 32 districts of Balochistan with the support of GAVI,” Health Secretary Noor-ul-Haq Baloch announced at a press conference the other day.

The Coordinator Extended Programme for Immunisation (EPI) Balochistan, Dr Shakir Ali Baloch and Deputy Coordinator of EPI Dr Ishaq Panezai and senior officials of Unicef and WHO were present on the occasion.
