Passerby dies in crossfire

SHEIKHUPURA, Sept 27: Trade of fire between two groups in Dhari Kot village near Nankana Sahib on Saturday evening left a passerby dead and two others injured. Enmity between the Abbas and Safdar groups has already claimed five lives. On Saturday, passerby Amjad (20) died when he was caught in the crossfire.

Two members of both the groups sustained injuries. Nankana Sadar police are investigating.

ASSAULTED: A labourer’s daughter was allegedly raped by a vagabond in the town on Saturday. B division police are after accused Ramzan.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Hussain, a farmer, was allegedly kidnapped for ransom near Khanqah Dogran on Saturday.
