LAHORE: A local TV channel on Sunday claimed that law-enforcement agencies have arrested a suspect who allegedly provided transport facility to the terrorists behind the Youhanabad church blasts.

The suspect was identified as Ghulam Rasool and the law-enforcement agencies had shifted him to an undisclosed location for interrogation, the channel further claimed.

Police authorities, however, denied any arrest, terming it absolutely a false information.

SSP (Investigation) Rana Ayaz Saleem told Dawn no suspect had been arrested in the Youhanabad incident.

blasts victim dies: Another Youhanabad church blasts victim succumbed to his injuries at Lahore General Hospital (LGH) on Sunday, taking the death toll to 19.

Seven-year-old Inmol was shifted to LGH on March 15 with multiple head injuries and was getting treatment at its intensive care unit since then.

An admin official of the LGH said two more blast victims were still in a serious condition due to head injuries.
