QUETTA, Sept 24: The Crime Branch Police has registered a treason case against six leaders of the Balochistan National Party for distributing objectionable posters and pamphlets.

The BNP leaders against whom the case has been registered are: Senator Sanaullah Baloch, Senator Javed Mengal, MNA Abdul Rauf Mengal, MPA Akbar Mengal, Sardar Amanullah Zehri and Sardar Naseer Moosyani.

“Yes, a treason case has been registered against six BNP leaders for distributing objectionable pamphlets against the armed forces,” a senior police officer told newsmen on Wednesday on condition of anonymity.

However, none of the BNP leaders was arrested so far.

The crime branch police had arrested a BNP Khuzdar tehsil secretary Rashid Azam Baloch last month who told the police that the pamphlets had been printed in Karcahi and later distributed in different parts of the province.
