Gen Yusaf firing visits exercise area

RAWALPINDI, Sept 24: General Mohammad Yusaf Khan, Vice-Chief of Army Staff, on Wednesday visited the troops in the exercise area near Jhelum and witnessed a firing exercise.

According to an ISPR press release, Corps Commander Lieutenant Gen Javed Alam Khan was also present on the occasion.

On his arrival in the exercise area, Gen Yusuf was given a detailed briefing on the tactical setting of the exercise by Major-Gen Saeedullah Khan, General Officer Commanding, and other commanders.

Later, Gen Yusuf witnessed the firing of some newly-developed and sophisticated munitions of artillery, which was used during the exercise.

Tanks, armoured personnel carriers and attack helicopter also participated in the exercise.

Gen Yusaf appreciated the high standards of professional and firing skills of the participating troops.—APP
