Madressah system

Published February 19, 2015

THE madressah system is a byproduct, besides being the result of a vacuum that has been created by our education system.

Since the carnage at the Army Public School, Peshawar, we have made madressah’s our punching bags.

We talk about reforming the madressah system, but turn a deaf ear to our educational system which has been become a perennial source of all vices around us.

Parents get their childrens enrolled in madressahs so that they can learn Arabic to enable themselves to recite the Holy Quran.

Had there been compulsory teaching of Arabic language in our educational system from the primary to the graduation level, to be sure there would have been no room for madressahs to exist.
