MULTAN, Sept 20: The Punjab Bar Council conducted qualification test of young lawyers willing to do legal practice here on Saturday.

The test committee comprised PBC members Kaleemullah Shah, Mustafa Juni and Manzoor Awan while the president and general secretary of the Lahore High Court Bar Association, Multan bench, were also present on the occasion.

The test was held at the LHCBA hall. As many as 117 candidates had applied for the test while 107, including nine women, appeared.

The PBC has in recent years started conducting qualification test of the fresh law graduates aspiring to do legal practice owing to what PBC pundits thought deteriorating standard of law education, especially in wake of mushroom growth of private law colleges.
