Another Pakistani beheaded for drug smuggling in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia on Thursday beheaded a Pakistani man convicted of drug smuggling and a Saudi for murder, the interior ministry said.
Their executions bring to six the number of people beheaded since the start of January in the conservative Muslim kingdom.

Awida Utaibi was executed after a court found him guilty of murdering a relative, the ministry said in a statement carried by the official Saudi Press Agency.
Mohammad Shahbal of Pakistan was beheaded for smuggling heroin into the country. The drugs were found in capsules he had swallowed.
Rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking are punishable by death in Saudi Arabia.
Last year, Saudi Arabia executed 87 people, compared with 78 in 2013, according to an AFP tally.

'Shahbal' is not a very common Pakistani name. Pakistani authorities must wake up and and see whats going on for a long time now. Who are these people using the name of Pakistan and thus becoming a source of embarrassment for it the world over. Every now and then this kind of reports make headlines in the world press/media, but we have never seen any reaction and/or preventive steps from our authorities.

@Jeet Still you doubt Saudi investigations and police? If Pakistanis were being executed in other non - Muslim country, then there would have been a big issue out of it. But it's a Muslim country doing to a citizen of another Muslim country. Why would they do it? Just for a fun or no reason? Why not from other Muslim country? You guys are always in a state denial. Have a habit of grasping a bitter truth.

Saudi Arabia has a population of 30.7 million people. Any scourage of drugs can quickly destroy the coubtry. Look what happened to Chinese when they were put on Opium. I cannot blame Saudis at all for taking strong steps. The drug smugglers just have to learn that it does not pay to traffic drugs.
