PSA rewards players, coaches and staff

LAHORE, Sept 12: Punjab Squash Association (PSA) rewarded its players, coaches and administrative staff with a total cash prize of Rs 131,000 for showing best results in the CAS National Junior and Hashim Khan National Junior championships held at Islamabad, recently.

The PSA president Lt. Gen. Zarar Azim gave away the prizes at a ceremony specially held at the Punjab Squash Complex on Friday.

According to details, Yasir Butt who won the CAS squash championship Under-19 and Hashim Khan national junior Under-19 finals got Rs 25,000. He also received Rs 5,000 each from two sponsors to be richer by Rs 35,000.

Shoaib Hassan who won the CAS National Junior Under-13 final was given Rs 10,000.

In the girls section, Muqadas Ashraf got Rs 15,000 for winning the Hashim Khan National Junior Under-19 title while Misbah Rani pocketed Rs 5,000 for taking the runners-up position. In Under-17, Gull Zaman received a cash prize of Rs 5,000 for earning second spot.

Zoia Khalid, the champion of the Under-15 title, got a purse of Rs 10,000 while Sara Sharif received Rs 5,000 for her second spot.

In Under-13, Rooshana Mehboob honoured with a prize of Rs 6,000 while Miss Amna Batool got Rs 4,000 for second position.

The senior coach Muhammad Rasheed earned Rs 15,000. Yawar Islam, the coach for boys got Rs 10,000.

The girls’ coach Muhammad Muneer received Rs 7,000.

A total amount of Rs 14,000 was also distributed among the PSA administrative staff.
