KARACHI: Patients given Eid presents

KARACHI, Dec 21: Provincial minister for religious and minorities’ affairs, Auqaf, Zakat and Ushr, Maulana Mohammed Wali Raazi, has said that health is gifted by Allah and carelessness in maintaining health is tantamount to ungratefulness.

He expressed these views while distributing Eid presents among patients at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) Karachi on Friday. The presents were arranged by the Social Students Forum (SSF).

The minister lauded the efforts of the SSF as well as the doctors for looking after poor patients and appealed to philanthropists to contribute generously for the welfare of poor patients.

Earlier, Professor Mussarat briefed the minister about on the hospital and the treatments being provided there.

Director JPMC Dr Abdul Shakoor, chairman SSF Nafees Ahmed, general secretary Anwar Ahmed Muzammil and others were present on the ocasion.—PPI
