Parking at BIEK

Published December 12, 2014

Recently I visited the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) and parked my motorcycle outside BIEK. When I returned, I saw three boys charging every motorcycle rider Rs 20 as parking fees.

I paid the fee but they did not provide me any receipt which indicates that this parking fee is not legal or authorised. I have noticed this practice for the past several months.

The parking area is the property of BIEK, so the question arises who has given them the permission to charge parking fees from poor students who usually have no source of income and are barely able to meet their educational expenses.

I request the Sindh government to look into the matter and also facilitate the students in other educational matters.
