BEIJING: China has rejected a report floating in the Indian media that its troops were training Pakistani soldiers on the India-Pakistan border, saying that it was not a factual report, said a report published on The Times on India.

“There are no facts backing relevant reports,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Hong Lei said during a media briefing.

He was responding to a report in the Indian media which stated that Border Security Force’s (BSF) intelligence wing has found that Chinese troops were training Pakistani soldiers across the Rajouri sector of the international border.

Being one of the biggest exporter of arms to Pakistan, it is not uncommon for Chinese soldiers to train Pakistani troops on its usage. However, they are not known to be active on the Rajouri sector.

There is no confirmation from the Indian government regarding training activity on the Rajouri sector.
