KARACHI, Sept 8: The Sindh Environment Protection Agency has finalise the environment pollution evaluation/ assessment prepared with the help of all stakes-holders, including leading NGOs, to record damage made to ecosystem by the oil spill from the Tasman Spirit.
The report that will be presented to the Sindh secretary on Tuesday, who heads the coordination committee formed by the President to look into the aftermath of the oil spill.
The EPA report contains input from all the four sub-committees of experts and relevant departments.
All the reports call for a long-term study of oil spill to the respective categories, including crabs, shrimps, marine fauna and the mangroves. — PPI
