Three key LI commanders lay down arms

PESHAWAR: Three key commanders of the outlawed Lashkar-i-Islam (LI) group have surrendered to authorities after laying down their arms.

Official sources say that the newly appointed spokesman of the LI Saifullah Saif, Commander Ilyas and Commander Wajid announced that they were leaving the LI and have surrendered.

The LI, which is already battered with the ongoing military operation, have suffered a severe blow due to the surrender of these commanders.

Saifullah Saif belongs to the Qambar Khel tribe, Ilyas to Sipah area, while Commander Wajid is from the Malik Din Khel tribe.

In October, 80 members of the LI, including a key commander, surrendered to authorities.

When will LET (Lashkar E Thoiba) lay down their arms? One LET arrest or kill will improve Pakistan's credibility 50%. Currently it is zero.

Careful! It could be a trick, You put them in jail where they brain wash more people to join them. If they are set loose they could recruit more people after being free among masses. Keep an eye on them.

Dr. Carla. Militant groups not impacting the army can live and thrive in Pakistan. But they are always under the control of the establishment. The day they break the line, the army will attack them.
