KARACHI, Sept 7: The Pakistan Peoples’ Party has resolved to defend its chairperson Benazir Bhutto against any government action against her recent utterance on certain sensitive issues.

The coordination committee of the party, which met here under the chairmanship of senior leader and MPA Syed Qaim Ali Shah at the Bilawal House on Sunday, decided to make the masses aware of all the facts about dismemberment of Pakistan in the light of Hamoodur Rahman Commission.

Central deputy secretary PPP Mian Raza Rabbani, secretary information Taj Haider, former defence minister Aftab Shaban Mirani, Nawab Yousuf Talpur, Prof N.D. Khan, Munawar Hussain Suharwardi and other leaders attended the meeting.

The leaders said that government was trying to divert the attention of the masses from the real issues to the non-issues and in this attempt it was in fact plunging the country in a very difficult situation.—PPI
