1,065 dengue patients in Punjab

LAHORE: Health Additional Director General (Dengue Control) Dr Islam Zafar has said the number of dengue confirmed patients in Punjab has reached to 1,065.

Addressing a meeting of the cabinet committee on dengue on Wednesday, he said the public sector hospitals all over the province also reported 129 patients with advanced stage of the disease.

“Out of the total patients confirmed so far 120 were reported with dengue hemorrhagic fever and nine with dengue shock syndrome,” Dr Zafar said. He said most of the dengue patients were reported in Rawalpindi.
