S. Arabia gives $95,000 to Comstech

ISLAMABAD, Sept 6: Saudi Arabia has contributed US$ 95,000 to the OIC standing committee on scientific and tech-nological cooperation (Comstech) secretariat, Islamabad, as a voluntary contribution to the institution.

According to a press release Comstech performs its functions and runs various programmes for the capacity building of the OIC member states in S&T with the help of voluntary contributions from the OIC member states.

So far, during the year 2003 Malaysia contributed $45,000, Sultanate of Oman $100,000, Iran US$50,000 and Burnei $50,000 to Comstech.—Reporter
