KARACHI, Sept 2: Six ships carrying crude oil, high speed diesel and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained at a brisk pace where eight ships were berthed. They are: Ocean Genius, Min He, Sinar Riau, to unload and load containers, Reef Muscat, to unload soyabean oil, Aris Cotelis to unload rock phosphate, Shalamar, to unload general cargo, Igloo Star and Chemstar Princess, to offload chemicals.
Sailing was also on the higher side as seven ships departed under the lead of Astor, Iwato, Ocean Genius, Sargodha,
Love Letter, Monte Rosa and Oriental Jasmin, while Igloo Star, Chem Star Princess, Kota Wangsa, Reef Muscat, Shalamar, Sinar Riau and Westerland are due to sail out on Wednesday.
Cargo handling at the wharves rose to 75,532 tons comprising 17,086 tons of export cargo and 58,446 tons of import tonnage.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Atlantic Sol, with 50,000 tons of crude oil, Warbah, with 50,000 tons of high speed diesel, Bunga Mastiga, Hyundai Stride, with containers, Malakand and Puma, with general cargo.
