KARACHI, Aug 30: Chief Minister Ali Mohammad Mahar has said that present government is committed to serve the people without any discrimination and that elected representatives should pay full attention on resolving the problems being faced by the people of their constituencies.

He was talking to his advisers and members of the provincial assembly who called on him at the CM House here on Saturday.

He said the government was working in an organized planned manner and had the spirit of service to people. It is making progress in the fields of education, health, industry, culture and tourism, he pointed out and added that people would soon realize it.

The CM exhorted the elected representatives to make all out efforts for the provision of health and education facilities so that a health society could emerge. This is essential for the country’s prosperity, he stressed.

Mr Mahar said the elected representatives should monitor development schemes being implemented in their respective constituencies to ensure that they were complete on time. He observed that many of the schemes would be completed during the current fiscal.

He mentioned said that the survey of losses by rains and floods was under way. He hoped that rehabilitation of the affected people would be completed soon. The relief operations, he said, were also under way and the affected people were being provided food and health facilities.

Those who met the CM included Revenue Minister Altaf Hussain Unnar, advisers Aijaz Ali Shah Shirazi and Syed Manzoor Hussain Shah, and MPAs Dr Dost Mohammed Memon, Dr Manzoor Leghari and Amir Abidi. They apprised Mr Mahar of the problems facing people of their constituencies. The CM assured them of his full cooperation in resolving the problems. — APP
