PESHAWAR: An Afghan National Army official was arrested near the Pak-Afghan Torkham border after he crossed into Pakistan without any valid documentation whereas one security person was killed in a landmine blast in Mohmand tribal region near Pak-Afghan border, military sources told Dawn.

Pakistani security forces claimed to have arrested an official of the Afghan National Army on Pak-Afghan Torkham Border and said he was shifted to jail for interrogation.

Official sources told that the ANA official, Zabiullah, had crossed over into Pakistani territory and had no valid documents and hence he had been arrested and shifted to Landi Kotal Jail for further investigation.

In another unrelated incident, official sources said, one soldier was killed when a water fetching party of the security forces reached near Mohmand tribal region's Whol Top area along the Pak-Afghan border where it struck a landmine.

One of the soldiers traveling in the party died on the spot.

Additional contingents of security forces reached the area and launched a search operation in the area.
