KARACHI, July 8: Karachi District Coordination Officer Mir Hussain Ali, has taken notice of the absence of town municipal officers concerned, or of their staff, during rainfall and even during his visit to the city.

He cautioned all the TMOs to perform their duties, responsibly during the rains and asked them to carry out drainage work on emergency basis to provide relief to the people.

He asked the officials concerned of city government to improve their coordination with army, navy and other departments concerned during the current spell of rains, so as to facilitate relief operations during any rain-related emergency.

The DCO visited Saddar, Jamshed Town, Baldia, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, SITE, Orangi, Liaquatabad and other towns.—APP
