KARACHI, July 7: The city received an average of 19.45 millimetres of rain on Monday, and the Met Office predicted that cloudy weather and intermittent rains would continue during the next 24 hours.

The Meteorological Department told Dawn that their observatory at Karachi airport had recorded 24.7 millimetres of rain, at Mauripur 30 millimetres, at North Karachi 15.2 millimetres, at Pakistan Quarters 18.2 millimetres, at Baldia 21.1 millimetres and on University Road 7.5 millimetres.

It said that on Monday the maximum temperature and the minimum temperature had been 37 degrees Centigrade and 27 degrees Centigrade. It added that humidity — or the amount of moisture in the air — had dropped from Sunday’s 75 per cent to 59 per cent.

According to the department, the temperature on Tuesday will range from 30 degrees to 33 degrees Centigrade.
