KARACHI, July 4: Six ships carrying containers, highspeed diesel and DAP fertilizer are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow because of fall in the number of new arrivals. As a result, three ships, MOL Sprinter, Canadian Express to unload and load containers and Commo-jc-Jimenez to unload crude oil, arrived at the port.
Four ships, Mar Challenger, Sima Bahar, Shao Shan-1 and Al-Mariyah departed on Friday, while Cape Henry, MOL Sprinter, Kota Tegap, Commo-jc-Jimenez and Nautic Confidence are due to sail out on Saturday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher totalling 0.102m tons comprising 13,408 tons of export cargo and 88,706 tons of import including 59,238 tons of liquid tonnage.
The following ships are due on Saturday: Wester Moor, Wan Hai-302, Ocean Luna and Izumo to unload and load containers, Mare to offload 33,000 tons of DAP fertilizer and Morning Glory, with 62,000 tons of highspeed diesel.
