"WE RULED THE WORLD".
What a time! what a time.
The best days of sporting history - as we held the Squash Championships (since forever it seemed like, with Jahangir Khan and then Jan Sher khan consecutively), the hockey World cup a couple of years later and the amateur Snooker championship with Mohammad Yousuf.
2015 - Hope to be a good omen again for Pakistan; going back to Aus/NZ.
Bring it back boys!

We won T20 world cup and this is a season of T20 world cup. You should write for T20 world cup win under Younis Khan captainship.
This is all politics. Without Javed we could not won 92 world cup but we just think about IK captainship. Remember in 1987 Pakistan lost world cup in Pakistan under IK captainship.
It was a poor captainship of IK, he preferred Mansoor Khan and Salim Jaffer over Salim Malik & Wasim Akram.
T20 World cup was much big win for Pakistan than 92 world cup, please write for Younis Khan captainship.

@Dawar, why the bitterness? It is March 25th, anniversary of the world cup victory. Politics has nothing to do with it!

Your comments are 100% correct which shows that you have a right knowledge of cricket & right brain. We are fed up with biased statement by the media & misguide the public with false propaganda & that's why no selection is made on merit basis. Currently is the example of Fawad Alam who was ignored in spite of the fact that his performance in Asia cup outstanding.

This 'celebration' has political connotations. Which other sport victory have we celebrated in the past, the way this particular occasion is brought up time and again?
Besides, cricket is just a sport. Nothing more then that. Teams win and teams loose, its not such a great feat that we are still celebrating this victory. This is a time when our nation and society really needs to strive hard to achieve something more substantial. Not a mere victory that happened long time ago. Sports are just sports, winning and loosing are part of the deal. A society that no longer commemorates 11th September, is commemorating a cricket victory that happened decades ago.
What are we leaving behind for the future generations? Mediocrity of thought and mind set?

It was the best format where every team played every other team (as there were 9 teams participating so couldn't split into two groups) before the semi-final stage.
Vividly remember each and every detail of the final and most of the world cup -> from the song (*the world is coming down, the flags are up........*) to the man - Imran, apparently, bowled the first ball of his career to - presenting him the trophy (Sir Colin Cowdrey). What a fitting end for a man of Imran's strature.
(though, goes without saying it was a great effort by the team, especially Miandad, Wasim, Inzamam, Moin and the little *Mushy)*
Pakistan Zindabad!

We need to move on. Imran Khan has milked this enough. By this token, Dhoni should be India's PM say in 4 years.

That was indeed the golden and the best moment of Pakistani cricket which is very hard if not impossible to be emulated in the days to come.
