LAHORE: Pakistan defeated Afghanistan 42-24 in the South Asian Handball Championships in the Indian city of Noida on Monday.
According to information released by the Pakistan Handball Federation (PHF), Pakistan had also won their first match against Nepal 38-23.
They will next play against Bangladesh on Tuesday and winner of the match will advance to the final against India on March 26.
Hosts India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal and Bangladesh are taking part in the five-team event.—Sports Reporter
