Villagers Kill robber

DASKA, July 2: Villagers on Wednesday killed a robber and injured another when they were fleeing after killing a trader during robbery at Bhogangi village.

Mukhtar Ahmed was on his way home by a motorcycle (STL-355) when two armed bandits stopped him and snatched his bike. The robbers shot him dead for holding them out and escaped.

Later, the area people caught the robbers after a brief chase and tortured to death a bandit identified as Saifullah and injured the other identified as Zulfiqar.

Motra police have registered a case and are investigating.

Meanwhile, youth Anwar Khan of Rachhara village (Motra) was shot dead by his rivals over an old enmity in Mohallah Banwala.

Anwar had killed two persons of his rival group about three months ago. On Wednesday, Anwar was on his way home after a local court granted him bail when his rivals shot him dead.
