KARACHI: A young man was shot dead in a suspected sectarian attack in New Karachi on Monday night.

Akhter Hussain, 35, was sitting at his Ali estate agency-cum-computer accessory shop at ‘Do Mint Chowrangi’ when he was attacked, said Bilal Colony SHO Sajid Javed.

He was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

The police officer said Akhter belonged the Shia community and might have been killed on sectarian grounds.
