KARACHI, July 1: Four ships carrying coal, containers and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly brisk where eight ships were berthed: They are: Mar Challenger, PONL MalindimKota Waris, Australia Bridge and Pu He to unload and load containers, An Angel to unload iron scrap, Sorena and Nur Yanbu to offload crude oil and chemicals.
Four ships, Kota Waris, PONL Malindi, Islamabad and Essberger Pilot departed, while Australia Bridge, Nur Yanbu, Saturn, Mar Challenger, Pu He and Sorena are due to sail out on Wednesday.
Cargo handling activity on the wharves was maintained on the higher side totalling 87,581 tons comprising 16,906 tons including 5,000 tons of wheat, 998 tons of chromore and 330 tons sugar of export cargo and 70,675 tons of import cargo.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Pearl of Jeddah, Hyundai Sprinter, Cape Henry, with containers and Sibi, with general cargo.
