HYDERABAD: The irrigation department has announced that old Phulelli canal and all the channels it feeds will remain closed for 40 days from Feb 25 on account of repair and maintenance works at Darro Branch and Pinyari Branch.
In a handout issued on Wednesday, the executive engineer of Upper Pinyari Division, Hyderabad, advised all taluka municipal committees and town committees to fill their reservoirs in advance to avert water shortage during the closure period.—Staff Correspondent
