KARACHI, June 28: Senior PPP leader, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, has said that the people of entire Sindh have been protesting against the injustices and excesses, but the provincial and federal governments had remained unable to resolve their problems.
Mr Shah was talking to newsmen during his visit to the hunger strikers camps at Karachi Press Club on Saturday alongwith other party leaders.
He met hunger strikers, including dozens of PPP workers, who came from Naushero Firoze to protest against injustices. They informed the leader that a number of false cases were being lodged against the party workers.
He demanded that the false cases registered against the party activists should be withdrawn immediately. He said that the killers of the PPP leader of Naushero Firoze, Basharat Chandio, were being provided protection allegedly by some government officials.
SMC STUDENTS: : The PPP leader, Syed Qaim Ali Shah met the hunger strikers of Sindh Medical College outside the Karachi Press Club.
Mr Shah assured of full support to the students, who had been observing hunger strike for the last 13 days. He said that instead of rigid attitude on the sensitive issue, the government should resolve the issue.
