PM House employee killed

RAWALPINDI, June 24: A telephone operator posted at the Prime Minister House was killed in a road accident near Faizabad, while a boy was critically injured after being hit by a truck near Tarnol on Tuesday, police said.

In the first incident, Amjad Rafiq, who was on his way to the PM House on his motorcycle, was hit by a speeding truck (PRE- 8374) near Faizabad flyover.

Rafiq was injured critically, while his motorbike crashed into another truck (IDC-2343). He was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims), where he died. The truck driver, identified as Waheed, was taken into custody by Secretariat police.

In the second incident, 12-year-old Sana Gul was injured after being hit by a speeding Kohat-bound bus (ADH-901) at Tarnol, police said.
