The collapse of the Rana Plaza building in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka on April 24 was perhaps the worst industrial disaster in recent memory, in which more than 1,100 of the factories workers lost their lives. The catastrophe served as a grim reminder to the world of the poor conditions that define an essential industry. But after the plethora of allegations, outbursts and subsequent apologies, keeping track of what Mayor Ford has done and where he’s done it is a rather daunting task. Despite preparations, including the evacuation of nearly 800,000 people, more than 5,000 people lost their lives due to the storm and leveled entire regions of the coastal city of Tacloban.
