Two sisters strangled over money

SAHIWAL, June 21: A youth on Saturday strangled two daughters of his maternal uncle over monetary issue in a nearby Harappa town.

Sakeena, daughter of Amir, through a court order had to receive a sum of Rs50,000 from Bashir Ahmed. The judge ordered his arrest to liquidate the decreed amount. On Friday night, Bashir served intoxicant to Sakeena and her sister Sughran and then strangled them when they fell unconscious.

Harappa police have registered a case with no arrest.

INJURED: Four robbers looted an oil dealer and shot and injured him on resistance on Saturday near Chak 98/6-R.

Akbar was going to his house by his motorcycle (GTA-6469) when armed robbers stopped him and snatched Rs58,000 from him.

They also injured him with gunshots for putting up resistance. He was admitted to a local hospital.

Farid Town police have instituted a case.
