KARACHI: Bohra community praised

KARACHI, June 21: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan on Saturday lauded the role of the Bohra community of Karachi in the development of trade and industry of the country.

He was speaking at a ceremony arranged in connection with renovation of shops and streets of Bohri Bazaar and the upcoming shopping festival starting from 1st July.

Referring to the renovation work of Bohri Bazaar, the Nazim said that it was good example to be followed by other communities, commercial organisations and multinational companies.

The Nazim said encroachments had not only affected the beauty of Karachi, but were also hindering the traffic flow and creating enormous problems for pedestrians.

He said the city government was planning to set up hawkers zones in different areas of the city.—PPI
