OKARA, June 20: An SI was booked on Friday for illegally deleting non-bailable sections from a registered case.
Four booksellers, booked in a copy right act under sections 66, 66-A and 67, had got their pre-arrest bails from a local court. However, their interim bails were rejected by a sessions judge.
Later, their accomplices with the connivance of SI Muhammad Hanif illegally deleted sections 66-A and 67 and had their bails admitted from a civil court some four months back. On Friday legal inspector Muhammad Hanif, who was pursuing the case, found the deletion of sections 66-A and 67.
On his report, Okara Saddar police have registered a case against the sub-inspector under Section 468 CrPC.
ELECTROCUTED: A minor girl was electrocuted on Friday in Renala Khurd.
Aiman of Basti Petrol Pump touched an iron pipe in her house which was electrified. She received shock and died on the spot.
