ISLAMABAD, June 18: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has arranged an architectural competition to get best design and plan of Blue Area’s extension project.

Architects from various parts of the country are taking part in the competition.

The price distribution ceremony of the competition will be held on Thursday at Iqbal Hall.

The CDA chairman, Abdul Rauf Chaudhry, will give prizes to the winning candidates. Following the prize distribution ceremony, an exhibition of architectural work will start at the same venue.

Talking to Dawn, an official of the authority said the project of the extension of Blue Area, one of the main commercial centre of Islamabad, will start in the fiscal year 2003-04.
