KARACHI, June 11: Four persons died in separate road accidents on Wednesday.

Mohammad Adil, 20, a motorcyclist, lost his life while trying to save a pedestrian, Ellahi Bux, on Jamshed Road.

He was taken to Civil Hospital where was pronounced dead on arrival. The injured pedestrian was also admitted for treatment, police added.

A ranger died when a container fell on a rangers vehicle parked on main Mauripur Road on Wednesday.

Police said a long vehicle, carrying a container, was passing through the Mauripur Road when the container fell on the ranger mobile.

As a result, SI Masood Ahmed, 55, of the Ghazi 92- Wing died on the spot while vehicle’s driver received injuries.

An elderly man died in Soldier Bazar police limits when he was hit by a speeding coach.

Police said Husain Ali Lakhani, 75, a resident of Zainabia Park View, was crossing traffic intersection at Numaish when a speeding Shandar coach (JA-8486) knocked him down.

The victim was taken to the Civil Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police said the errant coach driver escaped from the spot.

In another accident, a woman was hit by a car at Shahrah-i-Quaideen.

Bano, 40, was crossing the road when a speeding car (QAD-1414) knocked her down. She was taken to JPMC where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
