PESHAWAR, June 10: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco), a subsidiary of Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda), will replace old and dangerous electricity supply wires in the provincial capital.
The city division of the Pesco has been assigned to replace wires in Peshawar by 30th.
The Pesco chief executive Tahir Saeed Malik issued directives in this regard at a meeting here on Tuesday.
According to a press release, the Pesco chief also asked for installing the electricity meters in anti-theft boxes (ATB) at the earliest to overcome electricity theft.
In this respect, he informed the participants of the meeting that the Pesco was also considering to form special committees to install electricity meters in ATBs.
