KARACHI, June 7: The IT university will start functioning within four months as 36 per cent work of the Rs20 million project has been completed.

City Nazim Naimatullah Khan visited the site in Korangi on Friday and inspected the construction work. He was told that the work would continue at a brisk pace and was expected to be completed within four months.

The Nazim directed to accelerate the work saying the university would be an ideal institution, and a gift to the people of Korangi.

The Nazim also visited the residential scheme in Korangi for low-income people. He was told that eighty per cent of the road construction work there had been completed and pipelines for water supply and sewerage laid.

The Nazim was informed that about 2500 plots were ready and work on a hospital and a school was in progress.

The Nazim expressed the hope that the scheme would get materialized into a beautiful model city. He said he would again pay a visit to the locality next month.—PPI
