KARACHI, June 7: Three ships carrying containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Kota Tegap, Wan Hai-305, Beluga Inspiration to offload and load containers and general cargo, Islamabad to offload DPA fertilizer, Warbah and Sorena to unload crude oil
Sailing was also active as many ships departed under the lead of Bunga Masempat, Al-Mirqab, Orient Stride, Selecta, Botany Trust and Storm Lady, while Oriental Bright, Kota Tegap, MSC Camille, Panos-G, Sorena and Marylaki are due to sail out on Sunday.
Owing to larger handling of the liquid tonnage, the total cargo rose to 0.108m tons comprising 17,929 tons of export tonnage and 89,981 tons of import cargo.
The following ships are due on Sunday: Min He, Mar Challenger and Kota Wangsa, with containers.
Port Qasim
KARACHI, June 7: Two ships scheduled to load/offload containers and Mang. ore were allotted berths at QICT and IOCB during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Saturday.
Berth occupancy maintained on the higher side as five ships, Francisca Schulte, Sardinia, Bunga Siantan, Princess Natalie and Jin Ping were busy in loading/offloading containers and edible oil, general cargo and Mang. ore respectively.
A cargo volume of 49,765 tons comprising 32,000 tons of import cargo and 17,765 tons of export tonnage was handled.
Three ships, Francisca Schulte, Sardinia and Min Nobel were due to leave the port, while China Star and Qem star were expected to take berths at QICT and EVTL.
Boon Trikanare is due to arrive at the port on Sunday, while Stolt Falcon and Nedlloyed Damieta are due on Monday.
