NEW YORK, June 5: Former President Bill Clinton’s nemesis Monica Lewinsky has turned down offers to review Hillary Clinton’s book “Living History” and even avoided reading the excerpts that were leaked to the press.

“I haven’t read them,” she told the tabloid Daily News outside her West Village apartment building in New York on Thursday. Ms Lewinsky works for the rightwing oriented Fox News network.

The excerpts from the book by US senator from New York dominate the newspapers and electronic media after Associated Press leaked them out on Wednesday.

The book is sure to become number one best seller as soon as it is released on Monday.

Barbara Hutson, Lewinsky’s spokeswoman, told the News that the former White House intern would not comment on the book “for now.”

Hutson said Lewinsky rebuffed offers to review Clinton’s book to me. “It’s her choice, she just doesn’t want to do it,” Hutson said.

Neighbours cried “Poor Monica!” at the sight of reporters and cameramen outside her door again on Wednesday. “I’m sure she thought this was finally behind her,” said neighbour.

“This is a book about my whole life,” Clinton said. “It is not about a few hours or a few days or a few months.”

ABC’s Barbara Walters released parts of her Sunday interview with Mrs Clinton and it was about Lewinsky.

“The jury was really out about whether the marriage would survive, whether I wanted it to survive,” Clinton told Walters.
