KARACHI, June 2: The Board of Governors (BOG) of Defence Authority Degree College for Men has accorded approval to initiation of BCS and BA from the next academic year.

The BOG meeting was chaired by the Administrator of Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Brig Asif Ghazali on Monday. The BOG also approved the change of name of the institution from Defence Authority Degree College for Men to Defence Authority Degree College (DADC). The approval has been accorded for induction of girl students at degree level classes for broadening the base of education and upholding the principle of equal gender education.

Brig Ghazali, who is also the chairman of the BOG, underlined the significance of education in national development and economic growth.

He pointed out that the DHA was allocating a substantial amount of its resources for promotion of education from primary to degree level.
