BADIN, June 1: Senior Deputy Convener Muttahida Qaumi Movement Dr Farooq Sattar has deplored the denial of rights to the Sindhis, depriving the locals of job opportunities and benefits of their resources, and the water crises saying if the grievances of Sindhis were not redressed, it would result in grave repercussions.

Speaking at a public gathering at the Memon Community Hall here on Sunday, he said the Muttahida has made a strong plea for the rights of the provinces, and alleged that strong federation was a root cause to weaken the small provinces.

He said the Centre has been occupying the resources of the smaller provinces and was depriving them of water, economy, social and fundamental rights.

He said the MQM will never tolerate any act of the Centre against the interests of Sindh.

He claimed Sindh has strong leadership and will bring a political revolution by protecting the people’s rights.

Later, while talking to newsmen, Farooq Sattar said unless the provinces are given full autonomy, the problems confronting the country can not be resolved.

To a question, he said the PPP during its government used the Sindh card against the Sindhi people and voice of dissent was suppressed.
